So I played my 10 placement matches, (I know what you're thinking oh another bronze/silver crybaby); however this is a bit more outrageous . I was Silver II last season (wowee) and got placed in Silver V this season which would make some sense if I lost a quantity of matches. Now here's the thing, I won all ten of my matches while playing with a friend who was of gold rank (no he didn't carry me).

TL;DR I won all 10 placements playing with a gold partner and was dramatically placed lower S2 to S5.

Riot said that even if you won all 10 you WILL be placed lower. It was right on the pop-up for the ranked season when you initially logged in.

it gets worse as you go up, my duo and i. me plat 3 him plat 5 played ours, and he was put silver 3 i got gold 4. you just have to accept that youll have some climbing to do at the start to get back to where you were

Only dropping 2 division is pretty amazing actually. Most people drop 5 or more. It gets worse the higher you go. Everyone drops.
