[GAMEPLAY] Hotkeys do not work in game!

I got into a flex game on new client initially, got into game everything was normal. Alt + Q - Q skill leveled up. (I was MF but this doesn't matter). I hit q to hit a minion, q doesn't hit. Try immediately again on enemy lux, once again no q. I check bindings in case they reset (again). Nope. Skills are set to q and quick cast. Relog into the game. Issue occurs. Follow riot advice on riots website, no result, tried switching clients, no result.

Tried custom game, to see if it was one off. Nope.

Oddly, I binded the keys to F1 - 4 and it worked. I could type in chat, and I could also click on the abilities. I even re entered my Keyboard another back panel usb and tried a front panel for giggles. Tried another keyboard and all results were the same.

What I could not do:

Summoner spells, champion skills, recall, use items, use trinket, space bar camera - on a -z 0-1 and any special characters. Attack move.

What I could do:

All the above on - f1 - f12 Type enter and chat, all chat, level up skills with alt, alt ping.

System Specs:

i7-4790k GTX 1080 G1 gigabyte 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro Windows 10 pro

old client and new client were used

A solution I tried, uninstalling the game > remove the Riot Games folder > reinstall the game

Game was fixed, by this...

I have a feeling this may have been caused by switching to the Alpha client.
