The first video is an example of a problem with the game's engine; CCs do not layer properly. There's a tiny grace period when multiple CCs are stacked, allowing people to move or use abilities. Kshway has an URF video where a Fiddlesticks and Rammus chain-CC people, but there are still moments when they're allowed movement despite being CC'd.
The second video is just how the game applies effects over an area. Soraka's silence zone updates with 'ticks' to apply the silence; it isn't a static zone. Katarina Shunpos in between a tick of the silence application and has time to start her ult's channel, but then the newest tick applies and it is canceled.
The first could be regarded as a bug but it's been an issue since the game's release. I'm not certain it can be fixed. The second can't really be fixed; the only effective way of designing AoE zones is through the use of 'ticks'. They could potentially make it tick faster, but that won't necessarily prevent this kind of thing from happening.
This happens with all cc chains including Zhonyas and GA. I've seen Kats shunpoo out of Cait traps placed directly under them after Zhonyas is finished.
