Fizz's Q > Azir's Ult

Well, I've been playing a lot of Azir and I recently noticed that when I threw Fizz (under tower) back with my ult, if he used his "Q" instantly (while still on air after my ults knock up) he would go through (or over) my ult and hit me + walk away. So, did anyone else encounter this ? And does it seem like a bug ?
