Screen Freezes during Champ ban / Champ Selection Leading to Forced AFK penalty

This has happened to me more than once. I join into a rank/normal draft pick. We all select our champs to ban and suddently the timer hits 0 and it just freezes. I sit there waiting for it to unfreeze and it only unfreezes after the fact that the client has deemed me "afk" for not selecting a champ. Now if I get passed that part, It also sometimes does it on the champion select. I will select a champion and go to lock in and it will freeze. Sometime Ill get the error quick enough reading "Unable to... Load champ" or something like that and I can re-lock in BUT if it doesn't I'm deemed afk again. My issue is that everytime this deems me afk, It's more time I have to wait to actually play because of a game error. Thank you for your time.
