Client repairs before opening?

So, since the last patch every time I start up my PC and open league, the LoL popup banner will appear on my desktop as if it's loading but then hovering over it gives me the dreaded loading circle and one click the icon whites out with a pop up 'client is not responding wait to respond or close the programme'... after a few attempts it will then hotfix back to an older version and I have to wait for it to repatch once the client has actually opened on an old patch.

Not sure if others are experiencing this but it takes me so long to be able to just get on and play
