Not Allowed to Rejoin Ranked Game After PC Restart due to Lag

Was in a ranked game, promos no less, and opted to restart my PC due to lag related issues after my teammates agreed. The restart took no longer than two minutes and yet, when I returned, the match was counted as a defeat in my match history. This is not only an incredible frustration to me as it was an incredibly close game, but it is also grossly unfair to my teammates who I have now abandoned due to this feature. I see absolutely no repercussions to allow for a rejoin, most especially in a ranked game, and am ultimately confused as to why this is even a feature.
