Tahm + Graves bug

I just played a ranked as Tahm Kench and all throughout the laning phase I could eat graves and get him out of harms way, but as soon as 20-25~ minutes hit I couldnt eat him whatsoever. I could put my cursor over him and it would show up green and I even restarted my game but it would not allow me to eat him..... Thoughts?

Riot is trying to dissuade players from abusing that broken champion :)
