New Modem makes league crash at loading screen

Ever since i got a new modem, the hitron CGN3ACSMR (with rogers), my screen goes black at loading screen and says its potentially a fiewall error. I've tried a bunch of things from the support page, such as turning on/off and adding an exception with windows firewall, as well as turning off my modem firewall (my anti-virus is windows defender), deleting/reinstalling and repairing LoL, disabling IPv6, i've tried port-forwarding but maybe im doing that wrong, configuring my DNS (8.8.8.8, etc.), i dont use a vpn or proxy, and i tried release/ renew and flushing my dns. Im lucky if i can connect once the game is 5 minutes in. It seems like the only option is to give up league and how can i do that!? . Plese help! (note: So far this only seems to happen with LoL and no ther games or steam for tha matter)
