client not letting me lock in my champ

this has been going on for the past month when i try to lock in the button is grayed out for any champ i chose till i eventually am forced to dodge and left with and error message. this mostly happened in normals so it never bugged me but now it happened to me in ranked and know i am furious about it. this stuff never happened on the old client.
