Graves smoke bomb stopping nami ult

Hidden interaction "Smoke on the water"

I've seen this happen too, though there wasn't a Graves in either game. Once on Nami's ult and once on Zyra's E. No cause for it that I can tell. I made a bug report about this a while back. Not sure if Riot saw it or not.

/s Kidding aside, that seems pretty crappy as a bug. Wonder what caused it?

I think the tower is the reason that happened, not so sure though.
