Is it just MAC version of LOL that experiences lots of disconnection and lag??

Seriously, I don't know why these days I have so much problem playing this game. I am using macbook pro, less then one year old, using verizon fios 60mb service. I wasn't sure if this problems are from either the game itself or from my internet provider, but as I tested internet speed and tried other sites at the time when I am experiencing the lag, they are fine, from which i can assume it's the game problem. is it something only i am experiencing? how are other mac users enjoying the game? i really think the riots need to work on the game speed and connection. btw, I am using the lowest screen setting without shadowing effect, at around Thursday afternoon, which I believe is less crowded than evening or any other days.

also, writing this texts are getting some lags.. lol
