Poppy W interaction with Hecarim E

When Hecarim does his Devistating Charge he can still damage Poppy even if she uses her Steadfeast Presence. It still knocks Hecarim back, but the damage still goes through.

Hecarim starts Devistating Charge.
Poppy activates Steadfeast Presence before Hecarim reaches Poppy.
Hecarim right clicks target.
Hecarim gets knocked back.
Poppy still takes damage from Devistating charge.

or how about it doesn't knock naut up until after his anchor is done

That's because it's still an auto attack.

Poppy doesn't stop autos, even tho she stops the jumping part.

Just played this matchup in arurf. Hecarim did his E, I did my W, Hecarim got stopped but I got knocked back anyway. Also, when I E into his E, his E always wins...

Hi, 2 year old thread btw. Anyways, Heca's E works like an auto attack and his "dash" starts when he is in auto range, so his dash happens after the auto already went through. That's why you can interrupt the dash but the damage hits you anyways (you usually can't break up an auto attack).

I know :) But for me the problem wasn't the damage but the knockback
