After eating one of my allies with my W I spat him out. After that, I couldn't eat him anymore. I don't know if this could be a cause, but I was building full move speed, so that may have something to do with it. My partner was playing as Pantheon and the bug didn't seem to affect my other teammates.
Ive had the same problem with not being able to eat my teammates in order to save them. It has happened to me several times every time i play Tahm Kench and i have noticed that I am usually unable to eat a teammate twice in a row even though his w does not say that i cannot do so. I once tried to eat my friend who was playing yasuo at the time and was being chased, he was low hp and i tried to eat him when i passed by him but did not work so i forcibly used flash to make a second attempt and still nothing worked and he was eventually caught by the enemy team.
