Cannot start League of legends

Basicly when i click the league of legends icon the game opens a popup saying Pvp patcher Kernel has stopped working I've tried restarting my computer and it still doesn't do anything. Do i have to re-install the game or is there a way around this? Please help i would like to play League but due to this i cannot

Try right clicking the icon and running it as Administrator. Also resetting your router could help, but try administrator first. Sometimes a program didn't close correctly, so check Task Manager for any Riot applications
