Quinn Vault breaks roots?

Noticed a vaulting out of the Root of Twisted Advance in ARAM today. Happened a couple of times. Didn't have LOL recorder running at the time so I've got no video, but I'm pretty sure this isn't expected behavior.

Quinn's Vault is a displacement, whereas Maokai's Root takes place while he is en route to you. Likely she vaulted as he went in for Twisted Advance, interrupting the spell and letting her go. Vayne can do similar things with well timed Condemns.

Which data source are you using to determine it is a displacement? What I looked into indicated it was a dash, and roots are supposed to restrict a player's ability to move (through regular moves or abilities) for the duration. Vayne's condemn I can understand because it pushes back the targeted champion, but Quinn's vault moves Quinn.

I should think i know how my favorite champion works lol. Anywho if you look through Quinn's Patch history you'll find a change where they added a tiny knockback on her E to allow her to stop channels. That's what makes it a displacement. If he's fast enough Yasuo can even ult off of Vault!

I think I see what you're saying now, however Quinn was Vaulting another champion, not Maokai. Maokai wasn't being displaced, yet the twisted advance root was not restricting the dash in vault.

Suuuuuuuuuuper late response, but Quinn's E has a small knockback on the target she uses Vault on. This is why she can interrupt channels like Katarina's UIt. If Vault went off before the root from TA, then Quinn could theorhetically displace him from it, and thus rid herself of the root by the time she lands from the backflip. It works with other things as well, like kicking Kha Zix out of his Jump. Its like Vayne's Condemn pretty much, only higher risk.
