4k resolution results in tiny minimap icons
I know you guys are aware of this, but I wanted to add my voice to this issue.
I first ran into this issue about four years ago, when I bought a new Razer Blade. The game looked beautiful at that pixel density, and MOST of the interface was wonky-but-usable - but the minimap icons rendered it completely unplayable. On a monitor that small, I had to downgrade to 1920x1080 to play. I didn't think too much of it (don't even think I posted about it), because 4k was pretty new at the time.
Fast forward to this week - I bought a new graphics card and a new 4k monitor to go with it. Most of the games I've played have looked wonderful on the new setup - and League looks as sleek as I remember in 4k. Even better, the mouse cursor now has a slider to bring it up to scale - but the minimap icons are still tiny =[
So, four years later, towers and champion icons still look tiny on the minimap, even though the minimap scale slider brings the minimap itself up to size.
I know the common Riot advice is to play in 1920x1080, but I'm going to stubbornly ignore that advice. I'm just here to say "+1 to the number of sad 4k players." You guys fixed the cursor and all of the other weird scaling glitches, so I'm just gonna keep playing like this and hope the minimap icons are next while I admire how darn pretty the rest of the game is in 4k.
