Game didn't end but I lost anyways?

I was just in a ranked game and we were doing pretty well, and suddenly the game client said I couldn't reconnect, so I exited and went back in. While I was on the splash screen I got an error that said the game no longer exists and I can play other games, but we were nowhere near ending the game yet, we just had a lead. So I click 'okay' only to have it immediately logged as a loss and my ELO points (20) taken from me for a game we were about to win. What the heck, man? I'm not asking for anything for free but I would at least like those points back because that was close to us securing an inhib and the win in our next fight. It's not even worth queuing up if the game's going to be like this, my one day off and I get cheesed by the server issues yet again. Bummer.
