K/DA Akali W Bug

Yesterday I was playing a ranked game as Neeko and I was versus Akali with the K/DA skin. The second she uses Shroud (W) it doesn't show the actual donut shape it has, it shows nothing at first, but Akali is invisible. A second later it turned into little circle shapes blinking in different places all around mid in general, Akali is still invisible and I don't know where actually Shroud is now. Those circles kept changing position around mid and drove me crazy. I asked if she saw her W like that and her answer was simply "No.". No one else on my team commented on this situation that leads me to think they didn't see it either. I don't know if it's a bug with Akali, Neeko or my own laptop decided to play jokes on me. Has anyone else experienced it?

EDIT: Apparently it is an Akali bug, not only K/DA and it has been going on since (I think) September of 2018. Riot pls...
