[GAMEPLAY] Illaoi/Mordekaiser Ult Interaction

When Mordekaiser takes Illaoi to the shadow realm after she ults (R), the tentacles she spawned with her ult do not follow with her. It seems that tentacles created by her passive ARE present SOME of the time, but specifically ones created by her ult are not. If there is a spirit outside the shadow realm the tentacles will continue to slam on the spirit as intended, but Mordekaiser is unaffected by them and the tentacles themselves do not respond at all to Harsh Lesson. This occurs even if the spirit belongs to Mordekaiser. The spirit is also not present in the shadow realm no matter from whom it originated.

Why not? How does that make any sense from any perspective? From a balance perspective its busted as Mord is already a more popular and stronger champion than Illaoi. Doesn't make sense for Mord to be THAT hard of a counter pick. From a gameplay perspective, it isn't intuitive. A new player wouldn't know that interaction exists just by reading the abilities. From a lore perspective, the tentacles are a part of Illaoi's identity. They belong to the elder god in the lantern and the elder god goes with Illaoi to the shadow realm as you can still use your other abilities. Seems odd that after you ult the tentacles are still there but separated from the god they belong to.

you have to think of the shadow realm as a completely separate map. NOTHING goes with it. no heimer turrets, no zyra plants, nothing. it makes complete sense to me. idk how you dont get it

Right, but there's no counterplay as illaoi. As heimer you can still ult + whatever, as zyra you can still ult. Illaoi's ult AND vessel get completely mitigated by this along with her W pretty much too since you have no tentacles to get the other 60% of the damage it does. Like this totally cripples illaoi. Again if the morde knows how this works, he just waits for you to use your combo, or baits it then ults you and its over. And you're only option as illaoi, if the morde knows this, is to only use your Q and poke until you're out of mana then you get ulted and again you be dead or losing farm.

Yeah, honestly this is gamebreak as an illaoi player. If a mordekaiser knows how this works, he just lets you use all your skills THEN ults you and you are 100% dead 100% of the time.
