Galio's ult needs some fine tuning. I understand the auto attack procs and things of that sort; however, this shouldn't end the taunt: Thresh shouldn't be able to q while taunted. I have noticed this happen to me a lot during games where I will flash in and ult and Thresh will throw his hook causing my ult to end almost immediately. Several other champions shouldn't be able to disrupt with any ability I.e. rammus q. Just a thought

Rammus' thing is an autoattack with CC attached to it, so it disrupts your channel. Same thing happens with TF's Gold Card, Udyr's Bear Stance, Garen's Decisive Strike, Braum's Concussive Blows, and so on and so forth. Thresh's hook has a cast animation, but not a cast time; once he uses it, nothing can stop him from finishing the animation (and firing the hook) except death. Same deal as Lux ult, Ez ult, etc.
