[CLIENT] Crashing at loading, could not log back in

Playing a ranked game with a friend, his client says the connection was lot right as game started loading, and was unable to log back in (screen got stuck at after entering password). After the game was nearly over, he was finally able to log in, after restarting the client a number of times, and restarting his computer. My wife, who was playing her own (different) ranked game next to me also had two players DC almost at the same time as when my friend was disconnected.
