Champion After-Images

I was playing some ranked a couple of days ago and i was facing a teemo in lane. when i initiated him i got him pretty low and he flashed away. after the flash, he stopped in place till i caught up and autod him. then his character dissapear right after i hit him but i thought he just went invis so i stayed there spamming my abilities. 20 seconds later teemo walks in lane and now i lost lane at this point form the cs i lost.
