Game client doesn't open, goes straight to reconnect screen

I'm not sure if this is linked to my anti virus showing the latest patch as a Trojan but I can at least login to the game. Past that, however, when I try to enter a match after champ select i am taken to the reconnect screen, no matter how many times i click reconnect i can't join the game as it shows, game still in progress for a second and goes back to the reconnect button, please help!
