In my case: I can't see my friends list; Can't see my rank when I go to my profile; Tried to play ARAM and my game didn't load, stuck on black screen and couldn't even Ctrl+Alt+Delete to close, had to restart my pc. Also the client seems not responsive. More accurately, very laggy. FeelsBadMan item 3070

Same with me. No friends,icon/rp/ip/store/loot doesnt show. Tried ARAM as well,game didnt load just the black screen. Now the client doesnt even show the "Play" option

I would like a red to confirm this.

Im guessing that you are both using the new client right? If so you would have probably seen the popup saying "black screen in LCU",this what you explained is most likely related.

My client is responding well,i can see everything that you cannot,i got into a game fine,so whatever it is your problem,if it does happen,all of the issues you mentioned happen at the same time,and only to "specific players".

The only thing you can do in this situation is revert to the old client,as riot instructed in the popup.

P.S. For rioter,in champ select i could not connect to chat,and the game loading screen wouldn't budge,so i had to click restore program in the "program is not responding window,could this be related to what is happening right now?

So,apparently riot has resolved the black screen issue (since the red exclamation mark is gone,and the problem is no longer present here http://status.leagueoflegends.com/#eune ),are the problems you stated above solved,if not,then the two are possibly not connected and you might want to file a support ticket,or wait for a rioter to see this post,at which point he or she will most likely explain the situation.
