Fresh install of LOL after a few years Hiatus, game wont load.

EDIT: Thanks very much for all the help, it turns out that league wont work if you use RivaTurner because of the anti-cheat algorithm. Now works after uninstalling the program.

Not really sure what to do. Turned off firewall, but every time I get into champion select no problem, then when I load into the game, I cant even see the loading screen, instead hit with an error message "A critical error has occurred and the process must be terminated". I've been looking around for a solution and can't find one, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you used the repair tool ?

What are your computer specifications ?

Yes I ran the hextech repair tool, still is not working. My rig is a ryzen 2600 and a gtx 1070ti.

Does it produce an error code at the time of the program crashing ?

Is your directx up to and all those basics?

Are you able to run a match in training mode ?

So all i get is the generic system error with the option of collecting statistics for riot. I am not able to enter the training mode. My directx should be good but how can I check that it is?

Edit: Just checked on my directx and it should be good, I am running Directx 12 and have no errors with it EDIT: Resolved now thanks for your help

u prob have some programs running that league doesnt like, like cheat engine. u need to do a clean boot, https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201761974-Bug-Splat-and-Game-Crashes#wq7

that message you see has to do with league false positive on cheating program, i garuntee u, something on ur pc is running that league doesnt like, u might want to reset windows

hmmm, this sounds likely but I don't want to go through all of the trouble of resetting windows and getting everything set up how I like it. Could it possibly be monitoring software? Do you think it could perhaps MSI afternburner or Geforce Experience?
