[CRASH] League anti-cheat flagging Black Desert Online as third party enhancement software
It's unclear to me if this is a result of the most recent LoL build or the BDO patch which went live this week. One of the two is not playing nicely with the LoL client's anti-cheat software. BDO runs XIGNCODE3 in the background to prevent cheating in that game. There has been no issue between the two until this week. Having BDO in the tray for AFK in-game activities and then playing a game of League is kicking me out of League. I think at one point League has used XIGNCODE3 as well, so this came as a bit of a surprise, but I tested closing different programs I had active until the crash/kick stopped.
The test to reproduce would be to have BDO open and in the tray (minimized). Begin playing a League game and it will eventually begin booting you to the client where you can reconnect. The next boot takes probably 15 - 30 seconds to happen again. Closing BDO will stop this from happening, so I've concluded that it is the offending software (or some thing else that runs along with it like their anti-cheat XIGNCODE3). I can't run BDO and its anti-cheat in isolation as closing either closes both.
Here is a reddit thread which is likely the same issue: https://old.reddit.com/r/blackdesertonline/comments/f2jcqt/i_cant_play_league_with_bdo_in_the_background/
This seems unintentional, considering it was not an issue for years. I'm not using BDO to cheat in League afterall... I'm not sure if this would be a fix on your end or on the part of the BDO developers. It is the Riot anti-cheat with the false flag, so I've created the report here.
