"League of Legends has encountered a problem. Please re-install League alpha to try again."

After many VERY long downloads, the client is still giving me the same message upon launch after I attempt to upgrade my client with the updated client. My client was previously up to date and working correctly less than a week ago, but began to start crashing and experience connection spikes so I decided to reinstall only to experience even more issues. Any solution or help would be greatly appreciated.
