Champ Select goes through even if computer restarts

This may not be considered a bug, but I was not sure where to ask this question, but if your computer restarts inside the champ select screen (pre game loading), how come that doesn't cancel the queue like closing out of the client would? I just had a game where my computer restarted and in my frustration I went to do other things, and came back to log into League to see my ARAM still kicked off (I thought it would not have). Is there any reason it doesn't? Thanks.
