Katarina abilities not going off

I was doing an ARAM with Katarina and when we went to push towards the enemy tower I was noticing that my Q: Bouncing Blade was not firing. The cooldown was not activating but my champion was still moving towards the target to get into range as if she was about to cast the ability. FOr several minutes this spell was not working and later I had noticed that was ultimate ability was also not wanting to fire and I had not been affected by the enemy Chogath or the enemy Blitzcrank's silence. While my abilities started to work about 3 to 5 minutes later, we lost the game due to a great need for a R: Death Lotus which wouldn't activate. This isn't the first time I've heard a Katarina mention how her abilities weren't wanting to work as several weeks ago I had played with one who had mentioned that it seemed like her Q: Bouncing Blade didn't work.
