Login Error Making Game Unplayable

I'm receiving an issue right at the login screen. I can startup the program just fine and load the page with the "Launch" button, but after I click the launch button the login screen will load but without the background (winter wonderland Ori atm) it is just black there and it immediately freezes. I suspect that this is a bigger problem with my computer because I also can not watch YouTube videos, they load the page and then immediately freeze, staying black or loading the first frame of the video. I also can not watch video on my computer with any media player.

If anyone has an idea about what this could be please let me know. I just bought a new system because my old computer had the same issue, however a workaround for that one was to open firefox and load a youtube video (it worked fine, the problem was in chrome) this would then "reset" the problem and league and chrome and videos would all work fine. No such luck on the new computer with a newer version of firefox.

If there are any ideas about what this could be please let me know.
