[Client/Mac] Sound over Bluetooth gets messed up

Hello, When using bluetooth speakers for sound output and hearing music with iTunes while playing LoL I regularly get sound issues. This means that the LoL sound (and only the game sound!, not the music I'm playing via iTunes) is messed up and sounds laggy and very rough (it is hard to describe). I'm playing on a Macbook Pro, I don't know if this problem is mac-only. Reconnecting to the game sometimes fixes the issue for one game.

A temporary fix is to stop the music from iTunes while in champion select and reenabling it once the game is fully loaded. Letting the music play while loading the game and then pausing it after the game has fully loaded will not fix the issue. Hence I think this issue has something to do with the loading phase of the game.

This problem appears since I am using the speakers (I started using them in December 2014). While playing in windowed mode, the problem did not appear, but that could be a coincidence.

The added link shows this issue, even though it sounds not half as bad in the recording as it sounds when you are directly sitting in front. Thanks in advance, Mac

Same issue with bluetooth headset. MacOS 10.12 and latest LoL Client.

5.23, MacOS 10.11.1, I'm having the very same issue. (didn't check the workaround thou) plz rito fix it

EDIT: tested the workaround and it (almost always) works:

  1. started a custom with Spotify and BNet Launcher open, no sound playing - bugged
  2. started a custom with nothing on background - worked
  3. started a custom with Spotify open, no playing - worked
  4. started a custom with Spotify and BNet Launcher open, no sound playing - worked

I am having issues with a bluetooth headsets as well. Sony WH-1000XM3 on an imac

Same Issue here - bluetooth QC35 headphones or USB plantonics headphones. Seems like whenever it isn't playing through the main system audio it isn't working correctly. Happens on both Macbook Pros in our house.

I have not tried in windowed mode.

I often find myself having to mute in game sound when using my bluetooth headset because of how bad it is. I don't know how to resolve the issue.
