[Gameplay] Yi's Highlander making him immune to all of Galio's CC?

When I was playing in Twisted Treeline as Galio against a team containing a Yi, he seemed to be able to completely negate my W - Shield of Durand's taunt by using his ultimate, displaying the message "Cannot be slowed!", and the same issue happened when I went in on him with my R - Hero's Entrance, displaying the same message and leading to Yi still being able to do actions, like Alpha Strike, despite the fact he was supposed to be knocked up at the time.

As far as the taunt goes, you probably taunted him and he just came at you full speed instead of being slowed while taunted like most champs that get hit and slowly walk at you. If you ulted and he hit alpha strike as you were coming in, yes he would dodge everything and thats not related to his ulti. He was probably just good and timed his abilities to completely negate your ult's impact

That match was like 2 days ago lol, must've been some real shock to send you into a coma for 2 days.

Anyways.

  • What do you mean by negating your W with his R? Because W just makes people attack you as that's what taunt does; so a Yi who's already wacking on you isn't going to behave any differently when taunted. Unless you mean they were attacking someone else and seem to ignore your W, then that's a different case and I won't know.
  • Galio's knockup only last 0.75 seconds if it's not at the center. So it's probably just that they cast it after landing, but seem like they were unaffected given the knockup is so short. That and, if Yi's Alpha Strike (Q) is already executing before you came onto the ground, he would dodge everything as that's what untargetability does (it makes the champ literally disappear from the game in a sense that all forms of targeting methods from AoE to auto-target would ignore them and pretend they aren't there, with the sole exception that debuffs, DoTs, and tethers that were applied BEFORE they go into untargetability frames would persist on and affect them even if they go untargetable).

There hasn't been any report claiming that Yi's ulti is behaving unusually, so it's probably safe to assume that it is not malfunctioning. But who knows.

Yi Q has got a timing before it activates. So it's like, he presses Q, he doesn't teleport, you stun him, and then he teleports

Did you have a cold steel item? (item 3082 item 3143 item 3110 item 3075 ) You may have been seeing it float "Cannot be slowed" when he was resisting your AS slows rather than a movement slow.
