Like it happand in patch 5.5, the client frizes up my pc. It's the same now... Patch 6.5 I don't know if this is a coincidence or is riot just making fun of us xD Windows 8.1 Can someone give me an advice or a hand fixing the problem? :D

WINDOWS 8.1 - HOW TO FIX (WORKED FOR ME) So Whenever I started league of legends (and as a reminder im a 8.1 user) my pc used to froze when I Logged in. So here's what I did to solve this problem. Right Click league of legends icon --> Properties --> Compatibility --> Start this progrem in compatibility mode for: Windows 8. After this u must check that box that says something like : Execute this program as administrator. When u log in, it will froze still. What should u do? You just wait. It took 3 minutes for me, but it can last longer. U just wait and then it will unfreeze and everytime u log onto league it wont freeze anymore. Like, it hitches and freezes as it's loading the first screen of the client as you log in? I get that too on Win7.
same thing happening to me. I even tried the repair function and that didn't fix the problem either. Also once I log into the client Alt + tab / task manager wont even come up to help fix this problem. my WHOLE computer freezes up...
I have windows 8.1 and the same thing is happening to me. I would rather give up league than be forced to go through the process of converting to windows 10 so that isn't an option.
same here, laptop freezes, task manager doesn´t work. i have even re-downloaded and reinstalled LoL, but the problem stayed the same

So does mine. I log in, it starts to load in the main screen, and then it freezes my entire computer.
I have this same problem. Tried a solution found for the same symptoms for the 5.5 patch, but didn't do the trick. (it was to go to properties from the desktop icon, compatibility tab, check run in compatibility mode, select my version of windows, then run as admin. Should've expected failure, since it was apparently an issue with win7 at that time, maybe this time its windows 8 related, but no way I'm downloading windows 10, "when something is free, YOU are the product")
I have the same issue with my laptop running Windows 10. Desktop works fine.
Same thing happens to me, and I'm on windows 7. The second time ti did it, on reboot my computer forced a CHKDSK command and then it did it a third time (after the command finished) Guess i have to wait a few days to get my

This just started happening with my client, locks down my entire computer, and restarting is not easy on my rig. I'm on Windows 7, has anyone figured out an answer to this?
I found a quick work around until the problem is hotfixed. After the client logs in,there is a very brief period in which you can hover over the client. Click the "play" button several times quickly within that period and then wait about 30-40 seconds. (Client still freezes then unfreezes.) Hope this helps guys.
Same problem here . Very big issue , could not play any games since the new patch. Still 8.1 win, hp laptop bought 1 month ago, same freeze, task manager dead. Seems like nothing works except upgrading to windows 10 , so nothing really works ! Riot help would be really appreciated. Thanks and good luck ! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
In desperate need of a fix for this please T_T I was just sitting at my laptop for like an hour waiting for it to unfreeze...
I'm still confused as to why Rito doesn't see this problem in their testing phases, and if they do why do the release a product that won't work for everyone. At the very least they should put out a statement that their upcoming patches are not 100% compatible with certain windows formats. Idk food for thought rito
The same thing is happening here friends. also I have windows 8.1 as well.
I tried reinstalling and running it on windows 8/7 mode. and nothing did the trick.
I might have be hot fixed soon.
Also side note. I can run WoW and Black Light just fine. its only LoL atm. going to try warframes in a bit.

Needless to say, I have the same problem. I also have a solution? I held the power button until my computer went to sleep, and then awoke it, and the screen was unfrozen.
I had this too right after updating and trying many times.
Chances are it might be a problem that needs to be fixed by riot. But remember...

I've been having similar problems. Except mine happens 10-20 seconds into the match and completely freezes the computer so I end up getting reported for leaving the match cause I can't stay in it longer than a few seconds. This has only started happening today. Idk what to do about it. Only been happening very recently (worked for 3 matches in the afternoon, logged back on around midnight to play a match but wouldn't ever work)
I'm wondering if all of these issues might be fixed with the simple answer of right clicking and running league as an administrator as often after patching the privilages of the game are changed for some reason, even though they do not require admin

Having the same exact problem.
Correction, my laptop has Windows 8. But I tried the close the laptop trick and it worked fine.
i get blue screen 50% of the times i log in to lol...
im on win7 and everytime when i start lol for the first time after turning on my PC everything freezes for like 10-15 sec and then its fine .... the problem is not on our end, riot. the last patch is bugged

I have the same Problem. Now i have a 20 min wait till i go in game.Cause of this shit. I think i have solved this Problem now. I have deinstall Adobe Air , Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave too. And now i can Play on normal way.Without lags and 300 - 525 fps and 35 ping
