game not starting

So after trying to launch a game of league today, after champ select, the game didn't start. I gave it a few minutes hoping it would fix itself, but no luck there. After closing and relaunching the client, after i clicked the reconnect button, nothing happened. When i check the Riot symbol on the bottom right in the hidden icons tab, if i open it, the reconnect button is still there, no matter how many times i click it, my game will not launch and currently the game is 15 minutes in according to my friend who is in game. If anyone can help, it'd be much appreciated.
