Bug with chat in client

So I recently hopped on and got a message from my friend. I opened the message up and there was nothing there that I could see. I tried to close it and it wouldn't close. I tried messaging my friend back but I couldn't see what I was typing either. I had to restart my client because I couldn't hit confirm either when choosing game modes. When I finally got into a ban phase I accidentally opened up the chat and I was forced to dodge since the chat was blocking me from hitting ban. Anyone else having problems with the chat recently? This is super frustrating...
