RIOT there is a bug when buying support items probably only on lulu REALLY WEIRD BUG

I dont understand this bug and it is hard to explain. When I buy the components for this item which are and this the value are not subtracting from the complete item of this . In other words I have to spend double the amount just to obtain this item as the item picture is darken meaning I cant purchase it. If I sell the two components than I can purchase the complete item as the picture brighten. I dont know if I getting the full money back completely. So confuse. This is happening for also. I read another post it happens after you buy a gold income item. Another thing I had 500 gold and I was able to purchase a 800g

Update: This bug doesn't happen all the time. For me it was every other game. Weird. The worst thing is that it will be even harder for riot to find it.

Yeah this bug isn't happening with just Lulu, I believe it's something to do with the support items in general, or maybe just frostfang, but this happened to me while I was playing support Veigar in a game. I was trying to purchase Luden's Echo, and it wasn't taking off the component items' price from the final item, had to save the full price to finally buy the item, and it kept whatever leftover gold i had. Then I attempted to buy a Deathcap and the same thing happened. I had to save up all 3600 gold even though i had both needlessly large rods, it was so game-breaking... not being able to buy items is extremely bad for the team, especially since i was the only AP on our team, I NEEDED those items, it almost cost us the game until I finally saved up enough to buy both Deathcap AND Void Staff in the end. I was so confused at first I thought I needed to start selling items until I figured out what was happening. Awful experience. Worst bug I've experienced personally since Season 3.

What truly confuses me is why Riot hasn't even commented on this bug yet or posted something about it in the service status thing. [sg-lux-2]

This is happening on all supports. I saw a thread about it on Thresh. As a frequent Karma player I've noticed this before.

I also had a bug like this. Except after I finished my quest for a support item I was unable to finish any other item. So the rest of the game I could only buy component items

was playing rakan, it happened with item 3504 and also item 3109 , please fix riot

I just had this happen on Zilean support. I thought it had to do with selling my upgraded boots (I had the 10 minute free pair) to try to get a different pair. Could only purchase item 3107 and item 2065 and item 3109 afterwords.

Hi, I am a Karma one-trick in ranked solo queue and have experienced the exact same problem in all of my recent games- since the last patch. I usually buy gold coin into item 3504 , item 3174 then a high AP item like item 3089 . Buying support items is no problem but when I attempt to buy almost any AP item I experience the same bug everyone here has described. I can buy one needlessly large rod but cannot complete the death cap. When you hover over the AP item it's text and stats are replaced with those of the item 3305 and you cannot buy it. I have found that if you have enough gold (as in two-three thousand) you can buy then sell the basic item (i.e. item 3191 ) and buy item 3907 or item 3157 but this does not work for every item. You cannot buy item 3089 . This means that you are often an item or two behind those playing in the other positions as you wait to get all the gold required.

I played some normal games with Evelynn and Camille and did not experience this bug at all, I assume it is linked to the starting support items.

I agree with everyone else here: I don't understand why Riot have not addressed this issue, let alone discussed it. This is potentially game breaking for supports and puts them at a massive disadvantage.

i noticed i had kleptomancy and futures market, the bug happened ( or o noticed it becuase i backed then) the exact moment i sold my two exilers i got from kelptomacy to make room for an item
