Still in game, get dced, and the client download a 1GB patch

What the f? I was playing (I probably still am playing) a ranked game, I got dced while my internet was running fine, I closed the process, and lol didn't want to shut down, it started to auto open itself, wtf? I had to reboot the pc, and mine is a pc that can play games in 2K, so it's really not a toaster I'd say. So well, I try to reconnect, and the client starts downloading a 1GB patch, I'm like wtf? I'm still in game and the client downloads a 1GB Patch?! Also recently when a game ends lol completely gets priority over anything: even if I alt tab, I'm basically stuck at the end game for 2 mins. Any suggestion? I've already tried the repair mode. The client is currently on my SSD, along with my Win 10 OS.
