disconnecting from game every 15-30 seconds

so today after updating windows and downloading a league patch my game when loading into a match says "network error you have been disconnected" it doesnt close the client but i can reconnect as soon as i close that window. then about 2 minutes into the game my game starts to dc every 15-30 seconds for upwards to 20 seconds. my ping stays at a constant 60-65. i've uninstalled the windows update and reinstalled league. neither fixed the issue. my only conclusion is that riots update messed up the game or their servers are unstable. i have no connectivity issues with any other game. can even play other mobas perfectly fine. anyone have any idea what the issue is?
