Client doesn't allow login, says not connected to internet(CLIENT)

While waiting for a game to load, the power went out at my house. While waiting for my internet to reboot, I logged on to my computer and prepared the client so I could quickly jump in. However, after the internet finally reconnected the client continued to disallow me to enter my credentials. Even after restarting the computer, it still saw me as offline. I had to repair the entire client and miss on nearly all the game.
