Client-freezing and crashing repeatedly

Since before the patch last week, my client has been crashing and freezing in champion select. It seems to be different every time. Sometimes if I try to type it freezes, or if i try to set my runes/masteries, or pick a champ. About 8/10 games the client will crash right after champ select is done and the timer hits 0 for the match to start. First I ran the repair tool, and that didn't fix it. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and that didn't fix it either. One of my friends is having this issue as well. This crashing is really messing up my ranked matches, especially in a promo series, because the client crashing counts as a loss in my promo series, and I can't do anything about it.

Having the same issue. Tried reinstalling with no luck. More often the client freezes, not crash, but regardless I'd have to restart the client to get it working again. Sometimes it freezes while in queue, sometimes in champion select especially if I try doing something like typing. About 90% of the time it's right after champion select before the load screen. I think I've had 1 game in the last 2 weeks that didn't have some sort of freezing issue. Also I noticed my pick and ban timers are gone in champion select 100% of the time. Once I actually get in the game everything is fine and there isn't any crashing.

This keeps happening to me, too! It is especially prone to freezing during bans in champion select. Is there any solution to this problem?

I am having the same problem. Freezes in champ select. I just hope I have already picked my champion when it happens and I just wait until I think the game wouild have went to loading screen and most of the time that is successful. However, when I have not picked my champ, I am forced to restart the client and I lose LP and get bans (which i think is bullshit). Something needs to be done about this. Love how I have looked at multiple threads about this and I dont believe a RIOT admin has weighed in on this. How about you guys fix your game and stop costing me penalty time and LP. That would be GREAT. Take that cash that i know I give u and do something with it. Thanks.
