Minion Mechanics???

I'm sure everyone has seen the random minion just randomly freeze and sit in place until someone interacts with the minion, but my minion experience was absolutely horrendous. I was in a lane where snowballing off of a lead was very important. I misplayed in lane, which caused me to die, but the enemy mid laner was still pushing out the wave;however, he was very low. The minions were attacking him and he was literally one cannon attack from dying, but wait! The minion FROZE there. He wasn't even far enough to break the aggro. One simple cannon attack could've equalized the lane. As the cannon stood there I sat in depression. This is a problem Riot needs to address and fix if possible. Sure, this is a rare case and usually won't happen every game, but this can be a very frustrating mechanic to deal with. And yes, I do agree I messed up and I deserve the consequence. I don't dislike minion blocking, as that is a different thing all together. Sorry if I seem angry or grammatically incorrect. I'm just a simple minded teenager.
