New Client, Mac

I have a MacBook Air I usually use to play league. When i close out of league and come back to open it it says client still running, no matter how long it has been since i quit the game. So i have to manually go into Activity Monitor and force quit it. Anyone else having this problem? Any fixes anyone knows of?

Same, but the old client did it as well.

I've also had this problem. Additionally, it occasionally doesn't open the login screen.
