Emote-related settings keep resetting.

So, I hate emotes. (In my opinion) They are unnesesary addition to game that has no place in it. They are disruptive. They are annoying.

So, (as probably many people) I use the "mute enemy emotes" option, as well as the "off" with the emote bubbles. And yet, all these emotes keep appearing. Why? Because for some unknown to me reason emotes keep resetting. The mute keeps disabling, the emote bubbles keep enabling. Please, tell me what to do. Do I have to modify some files to remove all emotes for good?

(And yes, the cat/dog event reward of random emote is insulting, but thats ooc)
