Client wont actually start after champion select

The title says it all. Had no problem chatting with my friend and then starting a match but the moment the loading screen was supposed to pop up, nothing happened. I've pressed the reconnect icon after logging back in several times now and still with no success. I have done nothing to my computer in the last 24 hours so I can only see it as something that may be specifically affecting me and I may just need to re-download the game(please, god no) OR perhaps it is something other players are experiencing(I did notice I had to download a small file before initially logging on, perhaps this is the culprit?).

Either way, I may just be a dumb dumb or are other people experiencing this?

And now I just received a Leavebuster Warning because I couldn't actually connect to the game. I feel bad for my teammates because I know how much of a disadvantage my team had losing me. All I want to do is play the game, besides I haven't left a game in the past 8+ months unless my laptop died(rare) and considering the circumstances this warning is ludicrous.

I'm attempting to repair the client now, but if this doesn't work I'm going to have to uninstall and reinstall the game.

Edit: And pray that that works, I guess?
