[CLIENT] Launch screen - stays black

Upon clicking the icon for the PBE client launcher, the client starts up but stays black.

The music plays but other than that, I just have a black window in my screen.

I have tried restarting my PC, check for drivers that need updating (not sure if that would make a difference) and lastly tried running it as Administrator but none of these attempts made any difference; the window stays black with the music playing and I am still unable to even see the login screen.
