[CRASH] after champion select with a black screen

I have not played league in over a year and I updated using the new client, but I launch using the legacy client. However I have come across a bug that does not activate bug splat. The steps I go through are as follows:

  1. Select a game mode (any mode does not matter)
  2. Have at least 8-10 players or bots
  3. Select a champion (any champ will do does not matter)
  4. Watch as the loading game screen does NOT come up (can only see a black screen with cursor in loading mode)
  5. Eventually windows will ping with a button that says: You have disconnected from the game with two choices try again or cancel.
  6. Clicking trying again will result in a 1/7 chance of getting back into the game and clicking cancel brings you back to the league client with the orange reconnect button. 6.5 Clicking the orange reconnect button results in a 60/40 chance of actually going into the game loading screen (as it normally would).

Note: I have done the firewall bypasses, Dns flushes and 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.8.4 trouble shooting, router resets, cpu resets, the mac equivalent fix (even though I am pc) of pressing spacebar+enter+delete, the client repair tool and even looked at league's online bug trouble shooting page to no avail.

I have also found numerous reports similar to mine dating back to 2013 with many people resulting in quitting the game due to being put in low que priority and having a frustrating time trying to even connect to the game. I do not wish this to be my fate as well as many others from a simple bug that I believe riot can provide a simple solution to.

Update: I'm glad that you are aware of the error Riot. I hope you fix this bug as quickly as possible.

Update two months later: I took a break from the game because this bug causes many problems and makes me cringe if I even contemplate trying to do ranked play and I came back to the game and found that it is still there and happens even if I use the updated client. Riot please at least respond to this message so I can get some confirmation that this problem is being dealt with.
