[Client] Cannot launch the launcher

Since the most recent patch went live, I have not been able to access the launcher. Whenever I launch the game, the logo momentarily appears on my screen as normal, but then it disappears and the launcher never takes its place.

I have already tried some of the most common fixes such as running as admin, deleting specific files, and turning off firewalls and such. I have even uninstalled the game (and it is only partially installed currently, because again, I can not get to the launcher to DL the main body of it).

Steps to reproduce: 1: Launch the game.

edit: It's been resolved for me! I used the first bit of advice in the thread that Eambo linked.
