Cant hold a Patch???

My league client is working fine from what i can tell but when i patch to this most recent patch i can get into the game but then once i log off from the game . The next time I log into League it forces me to do a 1.3 GB patch before it will work again. is that some glitch with the new voice chat system or is that going to be the new normal with the voice chat system being implemented? Can you please look into it Riot. Thx

P.S. League community is anyone else having this issue?
