FPS Trickery in League

Just wanted to know if someone could help me. My frame rate on league has been messy after the Snowdown update and has continued to be so since. The game will say it's running at a smooth 120fps but constantly dips below 30-20 and even as low as 15 at time :c

Can anyone give me a solution to the problem or will i just have to wait for a patch? This has really been taking my immersion out of the game and lowering the amount of fun I used to have D:

try turning down details, and maybe shut off anything on your computer not related to league itself.

The eye candy does look nice, but that takes data, and when your client lacks data (lag and ping spikes, I'm looking at you) it will freeze up or do that annoying 'reconnecting' thing while it scrambles to load the data.

TL;DR Details slurp extra data.
